Any organization is only as good the people who make it function. We are very fortunate to have a management group that is passionate about building rock solid, high quality homes. While we don't use formal job titles, let's meet them and learn about their role in making your dream home a reality.

Diane

Diane Blackwell is our key point of contact for clients after home construction has started. She will have the answers to anything and everything that is happening with your new home's construction process, or will be able to promptly get you the right answers. The coordination required when we give you possession of your new home after we have completed our work, and your house final inspection process are under her control. She will also be the point of contact for any post occupancy warranty issues- which are generally quite few in number. Basically, she makes our business tick and keeps all our business lives in order. You will find Diane to be the picture of professionalism and a joy to work with.

Pat

Pat McNabb could probably do all of our jobs quite well, but focuses her attention on our financial, professional and administrative matters. She has over three decades of experience in residential construction, 90% of that career spent with our company [we are thankful for that every day]. Attention to detail and a commitment to professionalism are what she is all about. She has a Virginia CPA license and knows residential construction accounting inside and out. She works with our subcontractors and suppliers, and our clients' lenders to make certain that the complex flow of funds as work progresses is seamless. We are required to maintain many permits, licenses and certifications in our profession which she keeps in perfect order. When there is an issue that others can't resolve, in virtually any of our many business facets, it inevitably ends up on Pat's desk where it is solved. She is the primary point of contact for issues dealing with our subcontractors and suppliers. Our corporate commitment to high quality and client satisfaction begins with her. She is the heart of our organization.

Garvin

Garvin Kirk manages, oversees and directs all of our construction activities. In short, he just plain makes things happen on the job site. He has almost four decades of experience in residential construction and has delivered many thousands of homes to satisfied clients. Garvin is a construction manager from the old school when quality and pride were far more important than speed, profit margin and price / earnings ratios. He is still passionate in his belief in delivering quality with pride, and so are we. In his case, it is not an exaggeration to say that he knows more about new home construction than 99% of the high profile experts in residential construction. He is a man of few words, but we listen carefully to each of them. Having your dream home in his hands is about as good as it gets.

Danielle

Danielle Green is in charge of all our sales and marketing activities. Her role is simply to sell us to you. She does this very well for one simple reason: she honestly believes in her product. We are always seeking feedback from our clients on their housing needs and enjoy the dialog necessary to fulfill their wishes. Danielle is the focal point for this process. She is your advocate and representative to the company, making sure that your needs and our ability to deliver are in sync. We do many things very well, but just can not be all things to all clients. She will clearly explain our strengths and will help you craft the design of your home to take advantage of those capabilities. We offer many, many choices of components which can be built into your new home. Her role is to guide you through this complex selection process and craft the many available components into your dream home. It helps that she is one of the most dedicated and nicest ladies you will ever meet. She becomes a true friend to most all of her clients because of her genuine commitment to them and their families.

Bob

Bob Koury is the career home builder in the organization. His background is broad. He holds a BA in economics from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the prestigious Amos Tuck School there. During the Viet Nam war, he was an infantry platoon and company commander in combat conditions with the Marine Corps. He then focused his attention on the world of computers and data processing, becoming a nationally Certified Data Processor. He was a management consultant with one of the largest national public accounting firms, where his professionalism and commitment to excellence were honed. He passed the necessary experience requirements and examinations to become a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia, a license which he maintains currently by completing over forty hours of continuing professional education annually. This background could have led him in other directions, but building high quality homes became his passion and profession. For the past three decades, he has committed his business career to home building and has delivered over 2,300 homes from companies which he has owned. He holds a Class "A" Contractors License in the Commonwealth of Virginia- the highest classification available. In a tribute by his peers, he was elected to serve as the President of the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (which has 1,000 member companies) and was later selected for its most prestigious Man Of The Year award. If you want your dream home built by honest-to-goodness professionals in the business, it all starts with Bob and the Koury Communities team.
